Description: | Description: COVID caused many of us to slow down, or experience a decrease in mental energy, over these last many months. This interactive class will help you get back on track and recharge/rejuvenate by providing ideas for becoming more effective and motivated for rehearsals, learning new music and in your personal life. Presenter Bio: Sue Melvin is currently the Team Coordinator for the Region 16 Regional Management Team, previously having served in the Education Coordinator role. She is a 25-year chorus director, and also coaches and teaches in SAI, HI and BHS. Sue has been a Region 16 International quartet representative five times, holds six Harmony Incorporated International quartet medals, has competed internationally in three different quartet voice parts and is a past recipient of Region 16’s Leadership Excellence and Coaching Achievement awards. She is a second-generation barbershop singer and self-proclaimed Barbershop Geek. In addition to years of experience educating singers on vocal and musical subjects, Sue’s professional background as a VP for one of the largest corporations in the U.S. has also given her strengths in teaching classes on personal growth, organizational and leadership effectiveness, successful marketing/PR, etc. In her non-barbershop life, Sue is on the Board of the Greater Rochester Choral Consortium, serving as Education Coordinator, and has two children and two grandchildren. |
