Chordelicious quartet serves up songs in four-part harmony for sweet occasions. Chordelicious is an officially-registered member of Sweet Adelines International and Harmony North Chorus. Quartet members Nancy Waddington (tenor), Glenn Velick (lead), Dickie Scholten (baritone), and Janice Moses (bass) joined their voices in harmony first in June 2023.
We are excited to share with everyone a few changed happening with our quartet, Firefly! Susann McKinley is now singing lead and Laura Norris is our new baritone. Rachel Beach continues to sing tenor and Sharon Demy as our bass. We have been enjoying getting together in our new configuration and are looking forward to being able to sing for you all soon!
As with the meaning of what fireflies represent, we aim to bring you, as listeners and friends, hope, guidance, inspiration and awakening through our music. We are excited to share this journey with all of you!
Full Swing captures the essence of a journey by four friends. Catarina Maisonville, Kristin Ponte, Lynn Reisch and Rhonda Towner-VanBuskirk, all long-time members of the six-time Sweet Adelines International Champion Chorus North Metro, have turned a casual happy hour into a musical quest that started in late January, 2024. With backgrounds in music and singing with other quartet combinations, although 15-25 years ago, they've come together to reignite their shared passion, singing! Their foundation, built on friendship, family, and fun, will direct their path and will shape their performances.
Off the Risers is made up of four members of the Greater Kingston Chorus in Region 16. Two new SA members, Ashley and Mary, have teamed up with two seasoned members, Janis and Sue, to form a truly unique group. They share a love of family (including fur babies), warm weather, and Broadway. With Mary as lead, Janis as bass, Ashley as tenor, and Sue as baritone, this brand new quartet is excited to come down “off the risers” to develop their skills, conquer their stage fright, and showcase their sound.

PB'n'J joined up for a musical adventure in the Spring of 2022. The "Peebs" are Pauline ("Peanut") Coathup singing tenor, Belinda ("Butter") Boekhoven singing bass, Nicky ('n') Wieczorek singing lead and Janet ("Jam") Cadman singing baritone.
Collectively, PB'n'J has almost 100 years of barbershop singing experience. Its members currently sing with Canadian Showtime Chorus, Bytown Beat Chorus and Vocestra. All the Peebs have been in a variety of quartets, both competitive and non-competitive, throughout the years.
The Peebs are looking forward to entertaining you and enjoying this new quartet journey.
RHYTHMIX has been together since 2006. They have competed five times at Region 16 Competition and won the Novice Quartet award their first time out. Doris sings lead, Sue the tenor, Jan sings bass and Marion is the baritone. They love to perform at birthday and Christmas parties, or whatever your event might be.
A SOUND DECISION led to our quartet being formed in the spring of 2023, quenching our thirst to sing with joy again after the COVID-19 singing “famine”. Adrienne (bottom right) is an experienced Lead singer but is new to barbershop since November 2022, and absolutely loves it, soaking up the harmonic nuances of the craft. Sandie (top right) sings Tenor in Sound Decision but has sung bass and now tenor in our chorus. She has a number of years’ experience on the chorus risers and has always wanted to quartet. Kelly (top left) sings Baritone but has a tall voice range and has sung three different harmony parts in her barbershop experience, loving Baritone the most. Carole (bottom left) sings Bass and has since joining Canadian Showtime Chorus. Kelly and Carole both have experience on Region 16’s quartet competition stage. SDQ is having a lot of fun building performance repertoire, with a plan to entertain in various settings with joyful, heartfelt and humourous songs. No sad songs here!
As Switch Up, we are a brand new quartet looking forward to our first performance.
A brainstorm of our director, Barb Hodge, we are three seasoned competitors and one rookie. Our goal is to let a chorus member experience being in a quartet for the first time. After one year we “Switch Up” and let another chorus member try it.
We are Up and Coming and we love to sing a cappella and have been together as a quartet since 2016. We are also long-time members of Durham Shores Chorus, where we enjoy singing while learning and perfecting the art of four-part harmony, barbershop style. We perform within the community, both as a chorus and as a quartet, as well as compete at our yearly regional competition. We are proud to say we are the 2023 Region 16 Novice Quartet winners.
We naturally love to entertain and would be happy to perform for you at your various occasions and social gatherings, such as birthdays, Christmas parties, office parties, etc. Our voices are our instruments so we don't require any setup. Please contact us if you are interested.
